Whether your junior is brand new to golf or preparing for high school matches, tournaments, or college-level goals, coaching starts with a clear understanding of their current game and where they want to go.

Chris' Background

Chris is a Pacific Northwest native, born and raised in Lacey, Washington. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Recreation from Western Washington University, he spent five years in Oahu, Hawaii, working at Ko Olina Golf Club. There, he completed the PGA Professional Golf Management program, earned Class A membership with the PGA of America, and built his foundation as a coach through lessons and junior golf programs serving underprivileged youth.

In 2011, Chris returned to the South Sound to help open Salish Cliffs Golf Club in Shelton, WA. Over the next 10 years, the course earned Top 100 Public Course recognition, and Chris served as Head Golf Professional for the final three years. In the fall of 2021, Chris opened The Golf Loft, an indoor golf studio built around coaching, development, and community.

Competitive Coaching Background

In the spring of 2025, Chris served as Head Coach of the Tumwater High School Girls Golf Team, helping three players qualify for the State Championship, with two finishing 16th and 28th overall.

In the fall of 2025, Chris joined the Saint Martin’s University golf staff as an Assistant Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s NCAA Division II teams. Chris helped lead players on both the Men's and Women's teams to individual victories.

Coaching Philosophy

Lasting improvement comes from clarity and ownership. When golfers understand why the ball behaves the way it does, they can self-correct, practice with intention, and continue improving long after the lesson ends.

Every session is designed to create understanding, not dependency.

Why Train with Chris?

Clear Cause-and-Effect Coaching

Understand why the ball does what it does so you can make better corrections and practice with purpose.

Built Around Your Game

No one-size-fits-all swings. Coaching is matched to your goals, tendencies, skill level, and available practice time.

Skills That Transfer

The goal is not just better swings indoors — it’s better decisions, confidence, and scoring on the course.
